The project Theandrites began as a collatoboration between the Scuola Grande di San Marco and Franciscan University Steubenville Ohio. The Scuola agreed to host the annual conference while Franciscan University offered the publication of the proceedings of the conference.

 

In 2020 this collaboration included also the Istituto Ellenico di Studi Bizantini e Postbizantini.

The annual conference has been held at the Scuola Grande di San Marco and since 2020 also at the Istituto Ellenico di Studi Bizantini e Postbizantini
